Yellow Brick Road Marketing has developed a number of websites for a range of clients since 2006. More recent sites were developed using Joomla!® - an extremely powerful open source software that achieves amazing results at a minimal cost. Better still, it is a content management software (CMS) - meaning it empowers site owners to update content without specialised software and with only minimal training. YBRM now provides a complete service from site build through to on-the-job training to help businesses become their own site maintainers.

> www.bigsound.net.au - Bigsound Studios, located in Canberra, Australia, needed its Joomla 1.0 site upgraded to Joomla 1.5 (because after July, the Joomla community will no longer be supporting J1.0). Big Jim of Bigsound studios also wanted a robust form for people to register to his programs - not only that, but he wanted to be able to create forms himself in the future (and he's the first to admit computer programming isn't his thing!). The beauty of Joomla is that there are a multitude of extensions out there that require no programming ability to use. Yellow Brick Road Marketing not only upgraded his site and set up Big Jim with his form software - but decked out the site in a new, smart-looking template.
"I would like to express my absolute joy working with Rene from YBRM. I found myself in a troubled situation with my website, Rene was excellent and easy to work with, understood what I needed, and suggested things in ways I could understand. Rene not only rebuilt my site, but also gave me training on how to update and change it myself so I have control over my own site. I would recommend Rene for any of your website needs, and I’m sure you will have a fantastic experience just as I did." Big Jim, June 2009
> www.megalo.org (previous version - also in Joomla!) - Megalo Print Studio + Gallery, located in Canberra, Australia, needed to not only update its web presence, but have a website solution that enabled anybody in the organisation to do updates of information without the need for lengthy training in a web development program such as Dreamweaver or GoLive. Joomla! provided the perfect solution. Yellow Brick Road Marketing helped Megalo staff to choose a template, modified it to reflect the organisation's identity and set up the website structure ready for copy and images to be inserted. The staff was then trained in how to input information. The result is a site that is 100% Megalo staff effort with 100% control on its ongoing development. Just the sort of client autonomy that YBRM aims to achieve!
> www.shoalhavenriveroysters.com.au (no longer live) - Shoalhaven River Oysters Inc is an assocation of oyster farmers and processors at the estuary of the Shoalhaven River on the South Coast of NSW, Australia. > www.andiandgeorge.com (no longer live) - The Canberra based musicians The Andi and George Band needed to build onto their highly successful MySpace domain to have their own website. They required a low-cost, smart solution that would enable them to update their own content without the cost of paying someone else to do it. So Joomla! was the solution here as well with full support services available through YBRM to provide just-in-time training and support. "I found Rene was very open, understanding and attentive to detail. Rene was able to take our ideas and build a beautiful website that reflects our ideology and music. She's an angel!"
